Pinewood School is a mixed secondary community special school for up to 156 pupils aged 11 – 16 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties. Pupils come from a radius of approximately 20 miles and all have a statement of special educational needs with nearly 1/3 of pupils on the autistic spectrum. At least 5% appear on the “Looked After” register whilst 19% receive free school meals.
