Kendal Sea Cadets is an independent charitable youth organisation based in the small northern market town of Kendal, Cumbria. We have around 30 youngsters aged from 10 to 17 who are taught by a small band of volunteers how to sail, canoe, complete expedition training and, when funds allow, take part in offshore training in tall ships and yachts. They also gain valuable life skills, become more independent and gain in self esteem and confidence as a result of the fact that all our training is based around the naval principles of discipline and respect. The funds generated by Givingmachine will help us to purchase equipment, maintain the ageing HQ and cover part of our training costs. Any contribution you make will be much appreciated and will undoubtedly be put to good use. Many thanks.
