Did you know…
The average life expectancy for men in the UK is almost 4 years less than women!
Men have a 14% higher risk of developing cancer than women and a 37% higher risk of dying from it!
More than two thirds of men in the UK were either overweight or obese!
There is a lack of awareness and understanding of the health issues men face. Men do not openly discuss their health and how they are feeling and are reluctant to take action when they don’t feel physically or mentally well.
The Movember Foundation aims to change this way of thinking by putting a fun twist on a serious issue. The idea of the moustache is to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to learn and talk about their health and to take action if needed.
Everyone can get involved, you can be a Mo Bros or a Mo Sista. We would love to hear about what you are doing and to see your pictures. Who will have the most stylish grown locally moustache?

Do you support a local or national charity – and why?
Our recent Giving Opinions survey found 77 per cent of respondents would prefer to support a local charity over a national one working for the same cause. The survey also revealed a view that donations to smaller charities were more likely to be spent on the cause as opposed to costs associated with running the organisation. What do you think?
