Time to vote peeps!

You helped choose the current featured beneficiary to receive “Windfall Donations” – the very well supported Beacon Hill, Wallsend. Now it’s time to vote again!

Up for your votes this time round are 3 of our fab animal charities – Yorkshire Animal Shelter, Tiggywinkles and Mane Chance Sanctuary. Which one do you think should be our featured beneficiary to receive all those wonderful “windfall donations”? Just comment the name of the beneficiary you would like to win on either this blog or on our Facebook page. The one with the highest votes wins – simple! (No need to vote twice – it will be counted.)

(Before you start to vote a “Big Thank You” must go to those people who took the time to nominate via our blog (posted 17/01/14) and to those that voted (either on our blog or on our Facebook page).) Closing date: Sunday 9th March at 10pm.

World Scout Jamboree – Japan 2015

WA (a Spirit of Unity) - Japan 2015

Bishop’s Stortford Scout District are currently using funds generated from TheGivingMachine to support 5 Jamboree participants attend the World Scout Jamboree in Japan in 2015.

Since joining in November 2013, thanks to their supporters shopping online via TheGivingMachine, they have raised £357 – and it didn’t cost them a penny extra!  Simon Carter, Scout Group Leader/Assistant Director – Marketing & Communications said “TheGivingMachine is generating just over £100 a month for the project and will probably be the single biggest source of funding over the 20 months of the project.”

“We are delighted to be able help young people to participate and contribute to such a significant international event” says Richard Morris, founder and MD of TheGivingMachine.  Over 142 various scouting groups are already benefitting from TheGivingMachine across the UK – with a total of £15,626 raised to date so far.

Steve Judge
