What does the 'Shop & Give' button do? The 'Shop & Give' button installer for Microsoft Internet Explorer, places a shopping icon (or link) on the most accessible sites on your PC, enabling you to easily shop online with TheGivingMachine™. You will get an Icon/Link... on your Desktop in your Windows Start Menu Programs in your Quicklaunch bar* in your Internet Explorer Toolbar** Please Note: These are links only and this download does not install a running program on your PC.

Since this installer places the icon buttons, or links, in the relevent places, there is no program that requires uninstalling. Instead the undesired icons can be removed by right clicking on them and selecting 'delete'. The Internet Explorer toolbar icon can be removed by right clicking on it, selecting 'customise' then 'remove' the TGM icon.

* If you have the quicklaunch bar enabled. The quicklaunch bar contains the icon buttons to the right of the Windows start button.

For Apple Mac (Safari) Users

Unfortunately, there is no automatic 'Shop & Give Button' installer for Apple Mac users of TheGivingMachine at present, however here is a simple procedure which can effectively give you a similar way of easily accessing TheGivingMachine every time you "Give as you Shop".

Add 'TheGivingMachine' to your 'Safari Bookmarks' for easy retrieval, the next time you "Give as you Shop".

You can then do this in two ways:

1. Simply click on the 'Open Book button' to the far left of the 'Bookmarks Bar' (immediately beneath the website address) to reveal your bookmark 'Collections' (which will occupy the left side of your browser window).
   
   Drag and drop the 'Heart' icon, from within the address bar, to the desired position within your 'Bookmarks' list.
   
   
   
2. For even faster access to TheGivingMachine, drag and drop the 'Heart' icon to the desired position within your 'Bookmarks Bar' (immediately beneath the website address, adjacent the 'Open Book button').
   
   Your 'Bookmarks Bar' is available at all times by default, but if it's unavailable to view, then you can reveal once again by checking (ticking) the 'Bookmarks bar' item from the 'View' menu.
   

Create a Desktop Shortcut (or alias) to TheGivingMachine

To make a shortcut (or alias) from your desktop, simply drag and drop the 'Heart icon' to the desktop (outside the browser window).
