1st Hertford Scout Group is raising funds in order to pay back loans that have been taken out in order to buy the freehold on our site in September 2012. The lease of our headquarters on the River Lea Navigation expired at that time and we raised £100,000 approximately which allowed us to gain access to a further sum loaned by the Scout Association. When the loan is paid off we will be moving forward to re-develop our 40 year old facilities for the benefit of the youth in Hertford and its surrounding district.
