Supporting Dalit Children (SDC) was set up in 2008 to educate Dalit children ('Untouchables') in Southern India. The charity has direct links with 2 schools for Dalit and other impoverished and marginalised children. SDC is run voluntarily, no wages or expenses are paid so £1 given is £1 that is sent to the Dalit school. It currently costs £240 for one Dalit child to be educated for a year.
