For the fourth year running TheGivingMachine teamed up with the Crashbox and Classic Car Club at their historic vehicle gathering at Powderham Castle. Visitors and exhibitors had the opportunity to vote for the charities represented at the show as well as a list of others based in the area.
All show goers received a token on entrance to the festival, which they used to vote for one of ten charities represented. This year over 4,000 votes were cast! A donation from the Crashbox Club will be made to each of the charities involved, based on the number of votes cast for each charity.
In addition, everyone who cast a vote could also enter a competition to win a car (radio controlled, not real). We’re absolutely thrilled to reveal that Mel Duffin and her son Zac won the fantastic prize.
The Crashbox Historic Vehicle Gathering at Powderham Castle has been running for forty-five years and in that time the Club has donated over £170,000 to local charities. The event features around 2,000 exhibits and attracts nearly 8,000 visitors over the weekend.
