We are over the moon with our recent fundraising event which has generated lots of valuable exposure and a significant pot of funds to boost the machine, which works non stop at full capacity to assist over 9,800 UK Charities. Plus of course, it was great fun to bring friends and family together.
On Thursday 27th June, 10 brave fundraisers embarked on an empowering evening that entailed a 90 minute workshop, learning how to train the mind to manage a variety of challenges in life. They put their mind to it and were challenged to walk on broken glass and break an arrow with the strength of their neck against a wall, this was just the warm up! All this was just a prelude to the main event -the Firewalk on 1000 degree hot coals left after a roaring fire. The entire team achieved not just one walk but a second, with some even a third… we were so grateful to have such an energetic crowd encouraging all our participants. It was an electric atmosphere!
We were blessed with a beautiful sunny evening with a fantastic rapport between the venue at Thremhall Park, hosted by Mantle Business Centre and the exceptional team from Firewalk UK who effortlessly orchestrated the entire experience – we can’t recommend them enough.
A special bond was made by all those taking part and their supporters who watched not quite believing their eyes.
The event has been an amazing experience for all involved. We are delighted that it has proved to be a wonderful success, which has resulted in us generating a fantastic sum of funds, that will contribute towards us continuing to fuel the machine to benefit all the wonderful schools, charities and community groups we support.
