Today is International Day of Happiness and it makes us here, at TheGivingMachine, happy to announce the winner of our poster competition – the young dinosaur enthusiast – Samuel (Age 5) with his “It’s nice to give”.

Like Samuel, we agree it’s nice to give and that’s why we’re delighted that, thanks to Givers shopping online via our website, we have been able to give over 1.2Million free donations to various causes around the world.

Samuel has won £100 for his chosen cause, a £25 book token and will see his poster featured on some of our promotional material too – well done Samuel!

A well done must also go to the other 4 artists – Amelia, Daveian, Michael and Philippa – they were all brilliant and really represented “what giving means”. A big thank you to all Facebookers who took the time to vote for their favourite poster. Here are a couple of the comments we received:

Stephen – “They’re all great but, particularly like Sam’s dinosaurs!”

Helen – “Grrrrrr – my 5 year old loves dinosaurs so Samuel is the winner for us !”

Tracey – “I vote for Michael, its good to see teenagers getting involved”

Claire – “Fabulous posters. My vote goes to Daveian aged 6 for a well thought out poster”

Shieveon – “Philippa sums TGM up to tea! Well done everyone :)”

Kate – “I vote for Amelia aged 9. I love the colours and the drawings. Gets message across beautifully. Well done x x”

This competition has been kindly sponsored by the fab people at Wiggle who have donated £1,429+ so far to causes important to you. Thank you Wiggle!
