Grief Encounter - Featured Cause for June.

This means Grief Encounter will receive all the windfall donations from people shopping anonymously via TheGivingMachine.

1 in 29 children in the UK under the age of 16 will suffer the death of a parent.

Established in 2003, Grief Encounter is one of the UK’s leading bereaved child charities, providing free, pioneering services and support to bereaved children, young people and their families. They help to address a multitude of challenging issues following the death of a loved one, alleviating the hurt and confusion caused, whilst promoting healing.

Children have an overwhelming sense of confusion, fear and anxiety, alongside their grief, which must be cared for in order for them to continue into adulthood with a sense of confidence and long lasting happiness.

This is where Grief Encounter makes a difference…

They are currently directly supporting over 400 bereaved children, young people and their families every week, relying solely on donations, so that they can offer a way to identify and escape from the encompassing feeling of grief.

Their services are free, funded through the generosity of their supporters.

Your donations help to support thousands of new families in the UK through the trauma of losing a loved one. They make sure your gift is used wisely so that as much as possible goes directly to the young people and children in need of their services.

As a Registered Charity with us here at TheGivingMachine, you can support Grief Encounter in generating free donations for their excellent work with young children and their families.
