May windfall donations go to The Learning Curve

Congratulations to The Learning Curve for entering the recent campaign Win a month of free donations.

All donations made by anonymous shoppers via TheGivingMachine in May will go to this cause!

The Learning Curve is an established charity which aims to change the lives of socially and economically disadvantaged people. The charity  provides learning and guidance directly and through partner organisations. As a result of their work, individuals are better able to support themselves economically and achieve their goals in work and life.

Founded in Wiltshire in 1999, The Learning Curve now operates across the South West. They provides  a range of courses across the area which enable people to achieve their goals, move into employment and make positive changes. Current courses include parenting, IT, English  and Maths, Employability, The Prince’s Trust Team programme,Personal development and Professional development.

The Learning Curve - IT weekTheir strong team of friendly and supportive tutors, who are experts at helping people grow their skills and confidence, provide learning and guidance to:

 

  • Young People 16-24 including young parents and parents to be and young people not taking up other education, employment or training opportunities
  • Ex-Offenders
  • Carers
  • Unemployed adults, including returners to work and those who have never worked
  • Older people
  • Volunteers

 

They also support other charities with similar purpose to maximise their potential through providing learning and development support.
