Those lovely folk at Crabtree & Evelyn surprised us this week with a delivery of some of their latest products.

Of course, we were delighted to review these and share our findings with you. Here’s what we thought of the Harvest Exfoliating Hand Wash and Hand Cream and the Herb Candle.

Like so many people at the moment my hands are dry, itchy and sore from the constant handwashing. Or they were … Last week I was lucky enough to test out Crabtree and Evelyn’s Harvest Exfoliating Hand Wash and Harvest Hand Cream and I’m happy to report that after a week of use my hands are feeling and looking happier and healthier than they have for a while.

The Harvest Exfoliating Hand Wash works in three ways to leave your hands feeling revived. A pumice and lychee powder gently buff away dead, dry skin while three types of seed oils work to cleanse and nourish your hands. The oils have been carefully chosen to restore damaged, sore skin – red raspberry seed oil to moisturise and condition, nourishing chia seed oil to ward off dryness and neem seed oil (a traditional ayurvedic ingredient) that helps calm and purify skin. In addition, the hand wash has a delicate, fresh scent, and I have to say that after use my hands not only felt cleansed and nourished, but they also smelled pretty good too.

After washing my hands with the exfoliating hand wash, I followed with the Crabtree and Evelyn Harvest Hand Cream. Using the wash and then hand cream is the perfect routine for healthy hands. Like the hand wash, the cream is packed full of nutritious, conditioning seeds, which also provide a lovely fresh, herbal aroma. What is more the cream is quickly absorbed into the skin leaving your hands feeling soft and well fed.

In short, if you are looking to revive tired, over washed hands then Crabtree and Evelyn’s Harvest Exfoliating Hand Wash and Harvest Hand Cream and just the ticket. Use regularly and the dull, dry skin on your hands will be buffed away to reveal fresher, smoother hands.

I was lucky enough to review the Herb Candle. The candle comes in a pretty white box and was gorgeously fragrant before I even took it out of the box. It has the welcoming scent which is a mixture of a floral garden and a herb garden.

Once out of the box, I was presented with a stylish smoked brown glass  jar which would look fitting in any setting.

I was very excited to light the candle and once lit the aroma was strong, fresh and sensual. It created a calming atmosphere with a spicy twist and smelt like I had brought the best of the garden scents into the house.

An extrodianary extra with this candle is that you can use the packaging to grow your own herb garden as the box is a plantable eco-paper box which is embedded with sweet basil seeds. To do this you have to remove all labels from the box, break it in to smaller pieces and soak in water. Then half fill a plant pot with soil, add the soaked pieces and fill the pot with soil, add a good amount of water and then leave to grow. I cannot wait to see my basil seeds begin to grow.
