Win & Give - our Social Saturday Competition

Posted on October 5th, 2016 by Rachel Jackson

What is Social Saturday?

Social Saturday on 15 October is a UK-wide day of activity to celebrate and raise awareness of British social enterprises – businesses trade for a social or environmental purpose, reinvesting their profits for good.

There are more than 70,000 social enterprises in the UK operating in an array of industries and sectors, and selling a vast range of products and services. What’s more they are outperforming traditional SMEs when it comes to start-up rates and growth, and are leading the way when it comes to diversity in leadership teams, and paying the Living Wage.

Social Saturday is an opportunity for social enterprises to shout out loud about the brilliant work they are doing, to get new customers and to be part of a national campaign, supported by the government.

TheGivingMachine is proud to be Social Enterprise, allowing you to use your on-line shopping as a force for good and raise a free donation for charity each time you shop online via our site.

To celebrate Social Saturday this year we are running a competition for you to win a signed copy of Givenomics, the book written by our CEO Richard Morris where he looks at how giving creates sustainable success for companies’ customer and communities.

But as TheGivingMachine is all about giving things to others we also want you to nominate someone to win a box of chocolates.

To enter:

Please post the name of who you would like to receive a box of chocolates on our Facebook page, or tweet us your nomination – please include the hashtag #Win&Give and @GivingMachineUK.

The competition is open to all UK residents and will close at 5pm on Saturday 15th October 2016
