In the spirit of giving, TheGivingMachine has created an infographic to proudly show off our 2016 statistics which should be shared with your family, friends to spread the good news.

We opted to break it down into 2016 Top 5s, what does this mean. Simply put, at TheGivingMachine we essentially have three types of people involved in the process to make giving to charity an effortless task and free above all else.

  1. Causes, the charities that exist to help people from all sides, poverty, social, diseases, natural disasters, we all have our personal choices through a life experience or a story told well you were sold on.
  2. Givers, as the saying goes “giving is better than taking”, and what better way to give to a cause than through your everyday activity of shopping.
  3. Retailers who we trust and rely on to bring us the goods we love, from the everyday grocery needs to the monthly visit to high streets to buy the latest fashion. With smartphones never leaving our sides, we getting messaged, notifications going off for WhatsApp, email, Instagram, we tend to be looking for deals every day from our favourite retailers who all have made it so easy to buy online.

Then add to the mix TheGivingMachine’s App and website allowing you to have a seamless shopping experience whilst quietly donating to your favourite charity.

So in 2016 TheGivingMachine generated 294,561 donations, our Givers who shopped through the website (or App) spent a whopping £9,444,039, this figure is transformed into a tidy sum of £211,698 worth of free donations, helping causes to fundraise and continue their great work.

The infographic shows our top 5 causes that people chose to donate to.

Ranked in order most donations, we have:

  1. Cancer Research UK
  2. Aylesbury Grammar School
  3. Cranbrook School CSPA
  4. 1st Bowdens Scout Group
  5. Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Then we have Top 5 Givers, K Thomas donated 830 times, but most money fundraised by a Giver goes to R Thewsey who raised £564.85 through 544 donations.

Finally, we have the retailers and Amazon come out on top with £83,497.18 spent on their website by our Givers.

We’re quarter of the way into 2017 and hoping an even better year than 2016, our target is to increase our Givers, help our Causes to reach out to more of their supporters so they can encourage them to use TheGivingMachine as a way to give for free.

Check out the infographic below, if you can share it with your family and friends on all your social media accounts, also if you have a website or you can spread the love even more by embedding the infographic, embed code is below the infographic.
