The Entertainer was founded in 1981 by husband and wife team, Gary and Catherine Grant.

That year they opened their first shop in Amersham and went on to open their second shop in 1985 and their third shop in 1991.  By 1999 they had 25 shops and this has now grown to over 100.

Children are at the heart of what they do. This is their driving belief and what they strive to achieve.

The Entertainer is also recognised for its charitable giving. Each year it tithes 10% of its net annual profit to charity, in addition employees are encouraged to donate directly through Payroll giving.
