Alexandra Wood makes suits that fit to perfection as Featured in GQ, The Evening Standard and The Guardian.

Our Roving Reporter Ursula enjoyed meeting the lovely Alexandra Wood to discover the history behind her upmarket tailoring business that is housed in one of the most beautiful listed buildings in Bishop’s Stortford.

It came as no surprise to learn that Alexandra was originally a catwalk model during her younger years and furnished us with a funny story of when she almost fell off the stage!

Following this early start into the fashion world, Alexandra moved into womenswear design originally.  However, on meeting her Husband who loved to make suits, she discovered that she really enjoyed the simplicity of the tailored design matching different body shapes.

So, Alexandra Wood Bespoke Tailoring & Made to Measure service launched 14 years ago, which became a much-loved Tailor on Savile Row and being resident in the current location for the past 4 years.

“I created this business to help Men look their best, to offer a service that was fun, inspiring and as a result; leaving you looking your very best. I am modernising the tailoring world, making it more fun, relaxed and enjoyable”
