Wesley is a furniture reuse organisation that collects donations of reusable items from the public, and delivers peoples' purchases [free for referrals; small fees for general customers] with its fleet of vans, crewed by its team of volunteers; most of the work at the charity is done by volunteers, either on the vans, or in the two shops and workshop. Mission statement: “To work in partnership with others to provide furniture and other household items at the lowest possible prices to those in need in Manchester, to further relieve poverty by providing jobs, volunteering and training opportunities, and to recycle and reuse as much of the material we receive as possible.”
Yes, I am a UK tax payer and am happy for my donations to be gift aided.
The legal bit: You must be a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital
Gains
Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of your donations across all
Charities,
it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
TheGivingMachine reclaims 25p for every £1 you donate from the tax you pay for the current tax year so
we
can give even more away to causes you choose. If you change your name, address or tax status, please do
let us know.
