As you know, TheGivingMachine converts those hidden sales commissions into free donations for the causes you choose. This month we’re sending out another £22k to over 750 great causes. BUT it’s not just about the money. It’s about the incredible impact every school has on the children they serve, it’s about each rape victim supported, each disenfranchised/young/old/disabled/suffering person feeling they belong and are loved, each injured hedgehog reintroduced back into the wild, each carer supported and so on…
We’re hoping to secure additional funding to help us grow our service. Because we are a platform, our primary social impact is fulfilled through others and so it can be hard to quantify this over and above just money. What I find fascinating is that the smaller, local causes can often achieve a disproportionate impact on the people and communities they serve with what many consider small amounts.
I’d love to hear any comments from Givers and Causes who use and/or benefit from our platform. Of course, even if you don’t use our platform I’d still love to hear from you.
- For Givers: When you raise a free donation for your causes how does it make you feel?
