A Jackpot, a Holiday, and Six Players Who Gave It All Back

A £25,000 Jackpot for a Cybercrime Charity
We had a very lucky player who scooped our £25,000 jackpot all while supporting their chosen cause! They play in support of The Cyber Helpline, a UK charity that gives free, expert support to people affected by cybercrime and online harm.
The Cyber Helpline was founded in 2018 as a movement by the cybersecurity community, built to give individuals and families better protection against a growing threat that wasn't being addressed. Cybercrime can take a serious financial, mental and emotional toll and too many victims are left to face skilled, malicious attackers on their own.
The Cyber Helpline believes all individuals should have immediate, free access to cybersecurity expertise when they need it. That belief shaped their model: a free, 24/7 self-help service combined with a confidential helpline, powered by volunteer cybersecurity professionals. They help individuals and sole traders understand, contain, and recover from hacking, fraud, stalking, harassment, intimate image abuse, account compromise, and other online harms.
Our CEO Luisa and Relations Manager Abigail met with The Cyber Helpline team to present them with the winning cheque and celebrate the charity's good news on their jackpot win. Founder and CEO Rory told them, "The Cyber Helpline is a charity founded to support victims of cybercrime. If people fall victim to scams, have their accounts hacked, or are being harassed online, we connect them with a cybersecurity expert. We're growing quickly because there are millions of victims across the UK, and the funds raised go straight to the front line, helping us bring on more volunteers and more staff for the people who need us."

The winner who had to read the email twice
The same draw gave another player a £2,000 Luxury Holiday. They've always played the GivingLottery to simply support their chosen cause TMCR FM, not for the prizes. On 29th August, they got both.
"When I first saw the email about winning the Super Draw, I had to read it again because I was sure this could not be for me, winning a big prize. I have never won anything of significant value before. I was totally surprised once I realised this was real."
The holiday plans are still forming. The email has been read more than once, just to confirm it's really happening.

The six who gave it back
Six of our £25 winners that evening chose to donate their prize straight back to the cause they play for.
