Why supporters are collecting a daily Free Bonus Donation

At TheGivingMachine, we are passionate about helping as many good causes as possible. We enable supporters to raise free donations for their chosen causes when they shop online via us and we also offer a Free Bonus Donation which supporters can collect daily just by visiting our website and clicking on a button.

To receive these Free Bonus Donations, supporters need to have an account with us and be logged in - that's it, they can then collect a free donation every day. Imagine the difference this could make to a cause if enough supporters did this daily.

We were keen to speak to some supporters who regularly collect a Free Bonus Donation to find out what motivates them to do this and this is what we found.

Ebony supports Llanwrtyd Wells Community Play Park Project

Ebony has raised a fantastic £145.09 in free donations for good causes via our Shop&Give platform. She currently supports Llanwrtyd Wells Community Play Park Project and raises free donations for them when she shops online via us and when she collects a Free Bonus Donation.

We spoke to Ebony who actively collects a Free Bonus Donation daily, helping her cause to raise money without costing her anything. Ebony told us that she incorporates it into her daily routine, and as it takes under a minute it’s an easy way to help a cause without having to spend money. Ebony added “Every penny helps, and if everyone who joins does it, it would soon add up!”

We asked Ebony some questions and here are her answers...

We contacted Dawn and asked her some questions to find out what motivates her to collect our daily Free Bonus Donation. Here is what Dawn told us...

What motivates you to collect a Free Bonus Donation?
It seems an excellent way for an added monetary bonus for my chosen charity. As the saying goes "if you look after the pennies - the pounds will look after themselves". It is amazing how the pennies mount up & boost your chosen charity. The free bonus donation also reminds me to look regularly at TheGivingMachine website to see what offers are happening & new businesses that join.

Do you have any tips on how to remember to collect a Free Bonus Donation daily?
TheGivingMachine emails sent to me saying "Thank You. You have raised a donation - I keep in bold/marked as unread so I see them in my emails - this reminds me to visit the site for a free donation. It is handy the link given in the email to see how your bonus donations are doing

How does the Free Bonus Donation help your cause?
I think in the present climate any donations big or small are a lifeline to the charity. Who would turn money away? I always think it is amazing a company is prepared to sponsor the Free Donation & I usually look them up & find out more about them on the website..

Why should others collect a daily Free Bonus Donation?
Because it is easy to do and helps your charity, supporting a good cause. If you then shop via TheGivingMachine website, your shopping also raises a donation - win win!

Angela supports The Swan Food Project

Angela supports The Swan Food Project and raises lovely free donations for them when she shops online via us or collects a Free Bonus Donation. So far Angela has raised a wonderful £61.67 in free donations for via our Shop&Give platform.

The Swan Food Project helps support more than 200 swans in a sanctuary created in the 1980s by the City Council and the Cathedral on the Severn in Worcester. There is little natural food in the river. The Project organises the purchase of sacks of swan food and fills small bags of floating pellets for sale in City outlets. Their profits and fundraising buy mixed corn for a daily feed, and provide information boards and leaflets to help people understand and enjoy the swans at the heart of the City. They liaise with rescue organisations when swans are sick or injured.

Angela was kind enough so answer some questions we asked her, here are her answers...
